District administrators examine state assessment data in mathematics and reading. At each grade level, groups of students are identified who have yet to reach content area proficiency. Administrators recommend that schools provide specialized classes for students who may need more support. Administrators also recommend that schools provide after school and summer enrichment programs for struggling learners.
State content tests may be analyzed at the group level to determine students who need additional support.
Due to English language and disability-related needs, ELLs with disabilities may need additional support to reach proficiency. Schools and districts should provide additional support when necessary.
